We have the largest Succah in Berkshire and it is always a hub of activity.
Evening and morning services will take place on yom tov and Shabbat evenings and mornings, followed by dinner and/or lunch in the Succah. On the second day of Succot, to make things easier for those who find it difficult to come earlier in the day, you have a chance to wave the lulav in the late afternoon, followed by a delicious meal in the succah featuring Rebbetzin Shira’s curries and ice cream. On Sunday, we will have a special succot cheder for children with a chance for everyone to wave the lulav and whack those willows, followed by cheese on toast in the succah. As always, we ask for a contribution so that we can afford to have an open house. There is no charge for the cheese on toast on Sunday and students, children, and low income folk always eat for free. Please let us know which meals you require using the form below. We also welcome sponsors who help us to offer discounted meals to students and families. Shake that Lulav! Lulavim and Etrog are available through Rabbi Zvi as usual this year. We can obtain student sets for £25, and standard sets for £30. Fancy sets are also available as are skach and other succot supplies (ask for details). We can also offer a limited number of mid-week fresh replacement aravot for £5. To order your set, email [email protected] , ideally by the morning after Rosh Hashanah, or at the very latest immediately after Yom Kippur. |
