Rebbetzin Shira

Rebbetzin Shira Solomons has been a Jewish educator and events organiser in England since 2000 (though originally trained as an economist). She is passionate about practical spirituality and Jewish education that enables children, women and men to expand their intellectual and spiritual horizons.  She has been running the Berkshire Community Cheder since its launch in 2009, and has been known to cater Shabbat dinner for up to 60 people.  She is married to Rabbi Zvi and is the proud mother of Gavriel, Ora, and Shulamit.

In addition to running the community side of JCoB and educating the community's Jewish children, Rebbetzin Shira works as a religious education consultant, advising local schools on Judaism content.  She serves as the Judaism representative on the Wokingham SACRE and is active in interfaith cooperation to achieve effective and authentic religious education in the region.  She manages JCoB Education, sending Rabbi Zvi to visit schools and provide workshops and assemblies throughout the region.
