Our Cheder is the only Jewish religion school in Reading and has been running for 11 years. We use the latest materials to teach Hebrew Reading, Festivals, Ethics and Prayer, catering to children from toddlers to teens. Our cheder is great fun – intellectually stimulating and socially buzzing.
We meet on Sundays, starting with a short assembly where we put our learning into practice. After assembly, we learn in two sessions with a break in between them. The first hour is Hebrew and the second is Jewish Studies. We are planning to launch a new Garinim class for our younger children in the next year. Please let us know if you want to participate. We hold regular events associated with the Cheder – annual Chanukah and Purim parties and a Pesach get-together. Our annual prize giving is a special occasion, and we aim to ensure that our kids understand what is happening around religious activity at home and in shul.
